BUNKER VOL I
Recorded on site at a bunker built in 1942 to supply ammunition for Allied Forces during WWII. The sonic properties of this building cannot be overstated; this concrete dome embedded in the earth is worthy of wonder and produces organic yet baffling reverb that dazzles and mystifies all who enter.
To record in this environment, I packed a 16” Yamaha kick, 13” piccolo snare drum, Roto Toms, mics and computer into a bike trailer and trekked via mountain bike to the recording site. Once in and set up, I spent an hour recording 2 sample packs worth of drums, rips, stick clicks, claps, screams and squeaks.
Volume I includes 23 grooves/loops, 28 fills, and 57 raw stems.
